The Music Ministry at Grace Presently, musical participation in the following ways are available: JAM - Jesus And Me / Cherub Chimes Ages: all Sunday School aged children are eligible to participate in JAM / Cherub Chimes The children's choir rehearses weekly during the Sunday School hour and sings on the second and fourth Sunday of each month from September until June. Grace Church has a set of children's handbells which are used several times a year by the Sunday School children in addition to singing. Chancel Choir Ages: high school grades through adult The Chancel Choir rehearses once weekly during the regular schedule (September through May/early June) each Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and sings each Sunday at our 9:00 a.m. blended worship and for other special services as required. The New Life Praise Band Ages: all ages welcome The praise band rehearses once weekly during the regular schedule (September through May/early June) each Wednesday evening from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The New Life Praise Band plays each Sunday at our 9:00 a.m. blended worship service and on special occasions. Handbell Choir Ages: high school grades through adult This choir rehearses once weekly during the regular schedule (September through May/early June) on a Sunday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and plays at services approximately five (5) times during the regular scheduled season. Grace Lutheran Church Orchestra Ages: upper elementary grades through adult This instrumental group rehearses approximately four (4) times prior to any service at which they play. They usually play for the Christmas Eve family service, Easter Morning, plus other occasional special services. Special Music Ages: any Because some people are unable to make a regular commitment to attend weekly rehearsals for our vocal and Handbell Choirs, but desire to share their musical talents as vocal/instrumental soloists or in ensembles, we offer opportunities for service in these areas. These opportunities occur mostly during the summer schedule (mid June through August) as well as during the regular schedule. Please see Roy C.
